Pride Park Commercial Property Deal Paves Way For Company’s Future Growth
A leading planning, environment, and design consultancy have moved their East Midlands offices to Derby’s Pride Park as part of their regional growth strategy.
In a deal secured by Derby-based commercial property agents OMEETO working in partnership with Innes England, Heatons have relocated from offices in Keyworth in Nottinghamshire to a 3,000 sq ft office space at The Arc in Mallard Way.
Established in 1999, Heatons also have offices in the West Midlands and North West. The company’s team of planners, landscape architects and ecologists provide expert planning and environmental impact support for a wide range of development schemes including housing, industrial, infrastructure, commercial minerals and waste management use.
Spencer Warren from Heatons explained: “Due to increased growth over the last few years, Heatons were keen to secure a larger office in a location that serves existing clients and staff well.
“The move to The Arc provides opportunities to expand the client base, building on established relationships across the East Midlands. The plan over the next few years is for continued growth and the move to The Arc facilitates this.”
Chris Wright, director of commercial property marketing agency OMEETO, secured the deal on behalf of the building’s landlord – utilising a range enhanced online marketing resources.
He said: “Since the initial impact of the pandemic, the office market in Derby has picked up significantly and looks set to continue.
“This is particularly so for Pride Park which is the city’s premium business location with excellent communications links.
“Our bespoke digital marketing resources have been invaluable in ensuring a timely and successful let for our clients and to provide Heatons with the accommodation they require.
“I was particularly pleased to be marketing this first floor office accommodation having previously secured the lease to bring Handelsbanken into the ground floor of The Arc.
“This premium office space in a prestigious location provides the ideal combination of quality and flexibility to accommodate Heatons’ future growth.”
Innes England director Nick Hosking continued: “This letting is another reflection of the considerable upturn in the office sector that we’ve seen over the last few months.
“Occupier activity, demand and crucially take-up have all increased significantly across Q2 and we see that trend continuing over the second half of the year.”
Heatons were represented by Salloway Property Consultants. Burton-based partner Phil Randle, concluded: “It was a pleasure to act for Heatons on the acquisition of their new offices and great to see a business relocating to Derby and the benefits to the local economy that brings.”
