Medical Expansion For Clean Slate
Clean Slate, one of the region’s largest independent commercial cleaning companies, has clinched more than £80,000 of new business with GP surgeries and medical centres across the East Midlands.
The company, which has been operating in the region for 60 years and has an office in Huntington Street, Nottingham, as well as Derby and Leicester, has 150 staff operating throughout the region.
In the past three months, four new surgery contracts have come on board – to make a total of sixteen doctors’ premises now serviced by the company.
Clean Slate Managing Director Mike Armitage explained: “Surgery practice managers talk with each other and it is a great testament to our service that they recommend us.
“As a company, we are regarded as a leader in healthcare cleaning due to our structured quality processes and attention to detail which is vital as part of the wider NHS drive towards improving infection control.
“We have taken a proactive stance on the impending changes in the National Specification For Cleanliness in the NHS, due to be introduced to surgeries by 2013. We’re scrutinising everything we do and tweaking our procedures to ensure we follow the best practice guidelines that all healthcare premises will have to adhere to. Any changes we find are also being applied across the board to all our customers in other sectors too.”
Among the new contracts gained in Nottingham is Derby Road Health Centre in Lenton. Clean Slate won the contract to clean their sister practice, Grange Farm Medical Centre in Tremayne Road, Bilborough, when it opened in March 2011 and the Premises Manager of both centres was so impressed that Clean Slate was recently appointed to work at the Derby Road practice as well.
